Fundraising training from "Local Giving.org"
On the 21 September CHYPPS will be holding a two-part workshop to help with the fundraising, marketing and promotion of your organisation or group. This event has been sponsored by 'Local Giving' who also are part of 'Just Giving' who are working towards enabling communities to learn about, wait for it- 'ONLINE FUNDRAISING'.
Start time: 10am tea and coffee for prompt start at 10.30am.
Time 10.30am until 12.00am.
Workshop tutors: Scott McMillan
This workshop will cover how to use social media to reach your stakeholders e.g. your fundraisers, supporters, new members, volunteers, the public, in fact, anyone in the local community.
You will learn how to set up an initial feeding point for information which then feeds into all your other social media connections (don't worry we will explain these and introduce you to some new ones and show you how to set them up)
This workshop will have 40 places and places must be pre-booked.
Lunch. Wow, if you have got this far WELL DONE!
Time: We know that your time is valuable and that you may fall into a lunchtime slump so we will be starting the next workshop at 12.30pm with a sandwich lunch break at 1pm.

Tutor: James Carlin from Local Giving.
James will be here to introduce online fundraising 'Local Giving' data protection, setting up newsletters, gift aid and finding online donors and funders, also any social media that has not been covered in the morning.
This will enable you to identify and use on-line fundraising as a compliment to your existing ways of fundraising for your organisation. Amongst this, he will show you how to cover small achievable targets.
This workshop will have 60 places available and places must be pre-booked.
OK, listen up. If you want to come to only one workshop and then leave that is OK, all you have to do is book the bit that you want to be part of. Unfortunately, you can't just book the FREE SANDWICH LUNCH and then leave!
Places need to be booked by the Monday 11th September so that we can order in the scrummy food. We do ask that organisation only send one representative so that as many organisations as possible can come along and benefit from this info.
Key Workers #Focus5
Locations: Somerset – part and full time will be considered (minimum 3 days), Plymouth area – full time.
Fixed term to 31 December 2019.
We are looking for experienced, enthusiastic, flexible and passionate Key Workers to join our team to support the company in delivering an exciting project called #Focus5 which is funded by the Big Lottery Fund and European Social Fund through the Building Better Opportunities programme.

Summer Holiday Activites
Date: Friday 18th August Time: 10 am – 12 noon
Event/Venue: Grand Designs at Ham Hill Country Park Cost: £5 per child This is the ultimate in den building. Not just twigs and sticks but layers of building, one over the other, finishing if off with a beautiful bracken roof. It will look fantastic but can it withstand the ranger’s challenge?
If you can, you will receive your reward of toasting marshmallows on the fire. Booking required. Cost £5.00 per child. Children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult – accompanying adults free. Max 24
Date: Friday 25th August Time: 10am – 12 noon
Event/Venue: The Wild Café at Ham Hill Country Park Cost: £5 per child Do you dare take the wild food challenge? We have a range of wild foods to tempt you with including wild garlic risotto, nettle bread, wild carrot juice, nettle tea, wild salad and berry jams. We will take you on a journey to show you where and what to collect and then take you to our outdoor restaurant where you will try all our wild food. Booking required. Cost £5.00. Children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult, accompanying adult free. Please note: nettle bread does contain gluten

Job Title: Team Leader – Family Support

Ups and Downs Southwest is a Down Syndrome Support charity working with
children, families and professionals across the South West. We carry out direct
family support work and offer training packages to professionals from the health,
education and social care sectors. With over 20 years’ experience, we are the
‘go to’ service for all families, professionals and all those involved in the care and
education of children and young people who have Down Syndrome.
The Family Support Team Leader will play a key role in the operation of the
charity and its services. He/she will manage and lead the family support team
and volunteer befrienders, maintain and create successful links and working
relationships with statutory providers and other agencies and work closely with
the Operations and Business Development Manager to contribute and implement
the strategic vision and operational plan of the charity.
The successful applicant will be joining the small but busy team based in
Westonzoyland which is just 4 miles outside the town of Bridgwater.

British Youth Council Survey
BYC are conducting a survey to find out what young people of all ages think about their communities; whether or not they feel European; about stereotyping, bullying and hate crime; and the skills they have / need as young people today.
Their views will contribute to the UK's response and contribution to the next Structured Dialogue conference in Slovakia, where the BYC will be working with y oung people and decision makers from across the EU to create recommendations.
All young people taking part will be in with a chance of winning a £40 voucher.

Breakdown support from Ricoh, as well as toner cartridges, are included in the maintenance fee which is mandatory for the first 12 months. After that you decide whether or not to renew the maintenance agreement. Costs includes delivery.
