General News

Somerset NCS Jobs – Summer 2017
SRYP has a number of vacancies for the summer National Citizen Service programme, to suit different levels of youth work experience.  NCS is a four week programme, taking year 11s and 12s through a week long adventure residential (Exmoor), a week long skills development residential (Taunton) and then two weeks of running their own social action projects at various locations around Somerset.  There are 6 different start dates across the summer, so jobs can be arranged to suit.

Vacancies include
Wave Leaders – Responsible for overseeing a wave of 105 young people and implementing the pre-planned programme (£1750 per programme)
Team Leaders – Responsible for leading a team of 15 young people (£1,350 per programme)
Team Workers – Responsible for supporting the team leader with a team of 15 young people (£1,065) per programme)

Full training for the programme will be delivered throughout the Spring.

For an application pack visit www.sryp.org.uk or contact Steve Baker on 01278 722 100.  SRYP would also be happy to consider secondments and applications from youth workers on term-time only contracts.
