Invite to a day in the woods.
The Volunteer Network have a new project that you may like your club to be involved in.
On Sunday 19th of February we will be holding a woodland day at Huish Woods Scout camp, Taunton, Somerset.
We will be forming a group to help conserve the woods that are used by generations of beavers, Scouts and youth groups, this group will meet once per month over the next year.
The tasks we will be taking part in will include everything from felling trees and recycling the wood for use on site, to fixing fences on woodland training areas, cutting back vegetation that has overgrown areas and pathways, clearing ivy from trees (as they are suffocating the trees and bringing this natural woodland down) and lots more seasonable tasks as we go along.
So if you want the opportunity to get out and have some fun in the woods in the company of happy people please get in touch for more details.
