Our current awards programmes
Our awards are designed to support Social Entrepreneurs at key stages in their journeys;

Do It -Up to £5000 for exceptional people to start their journeys building entrepreneurial skill and capacity

What is an award?
It is a sum paid over a year to an individual person and a bespoke package of learning and networking opportunities to help them develop as a social entrepreneur. The learning opportunities could include personal coaching, business mentoring, legal advice, and a range of social enterprise workshops.
We work with partners on bespoke programmes. These include Higher and Further education, and housing associations. We also offer themed purposeful awards e.g. UnLtd Care supports Social Entrepreneurs with innovative ideas to reduce isolation for older people; and Do-it-for-Real supports young social entrepreneurs (11-30) in partnership with Comic Relief.

Somerset Play Forum – Supporting Play Events.
In 2015 we gave out small play grants to help support play days in Somerset. Schools, nurseries and a wide range of community groups benefitted, but we realised that we could do more to help.
We recognised that money isn't always what's needed most. Advertising, training, support and guidance, may be just as important to groups who would like to get an idea off the ground. Our support might include a small grant but our focus will be very much upon supporting your ideas for new outdoor play events in a flexible and more creative way.
This year we have re-evaluated and expanded the range of support services that we can offer, and we want to encourage more settings to embark on new, outdoor, play initiatives. You might be an established group who are looking to expand and build on events you already host, or you could be a group who want to do something for the very first time. Either way we would love to hear your proposal and will look at what we can do to support you in achieving your aims.
