I know this is SHORT NOTICE but this is on to help prepare you for all those wonderful youth activities, you are going to be involved in over this oncoming Summer and Autumn. It's a Level 1 Accredited Youth Work Award, which introduces you to the principles and safety of working with children and young people. It's going to be an intensive, fun course. We are going to look at some of the things that you offer at your clubs and groups, to help everyone there understand the broad range of youth and community work going on around us, interjected with some theory and some practical things to try out to help you learn all the important stuff it takes to help run a Youth Club. You then go away and practise what you have learnt and then submit some examples of the work you have been planning and running in your club or group, to pass the course. This submitted work can all be done online, because we like to embrace the modern world of media here, and it will save you from bringing your work down here to the office. Here are the details: Youth work training Tuesday 25th and Wednesday 26th July 2017. If this is too short notice for you, we also have a course running on the 28th - 29th October 2017.
