Community Youth Project (Somerset)
Youth and Community Development Officer
Tintinhull Youth Club : 3 hours per week, 50 weeks per year
To plan, lead and evaluate community based youth sessions working face to face with young people and supporting local volunteers. Linking with young people to identify needs and interests.
Ideally qualified to NVQ level 3 or equivalent or with relevant experience
NJC 26-27 £23,166 pa (pro-rata), £12.01 Per hour .
The Community Youth Project is an independent Charitable Incorporated Organisation that provides sustainable youth worker resources to local communities in Somerset.
We wish to appoint dynamic individuals who will inspire and challenge young people, who will support young people in their transition to adulthood, who will support young people to reach their full potential. The appointed youth worker will work within communities to identify the needs of young people and to develop an exciting range of opportunities involving young people in decision making, programme delivery and design, including the delivery of youth sessions and activities.
Ideally you should have experience of working with young people age 8 years and older, building relationships within the community and developing volunteers.

Somerset NCS Jobs – Summer 2017
SRYP has a number of vacancies for the summer National Citizen Service programme, to suit different levels of youth work experience. NCS is a four week programme, taking year 11s and 12s through a week long adventure residential (Exmoor), a week long skills development residential (Taunton) and then two weeks of running their own social action projects at various locations around Somerset. There are 6 different start dates across the summer, so jobs can be arranged to suit.
Wave Leaders – Responsible for overseeing a wave of 105 young people and implementing the pre-planned programme (£1750 per programme)
Team Leaders – Responsible for leading a team of 15 young people (£1,350 per programme)
Team Workers – Responsible for supporting the team leader with a team of 15 young people (£1,065) per programme)
Full training for the programme will be delivered throughout the Spring.

British Youth Council Survey
BYC are conducting a survey to find out what young people of all ages think about their communities; whether or not they feel European; about stereotyping, bullying and hate crime; and the skills they have / need as young people today.
Their views will contribute to the UK's response and contribution to the next Structured Dialogue conference in Slovakia, where the BYC will be working with y oung people and decision makers from across the EU to create recommendations.
All young people taking part will be in with a chance of winning a £40 voucher.

C: print in colour, suitable for larger volumes of printing. The cost is £500 (RRP £16,995) and the maintenance fee is £90 per quarter.
Breakdown support from Ricoh, as well as toner cartridges, are included in the maintenance fee which is mandatory for the first 12 months. After that you decide whether or not to renew the maintenance agreement. Costs includes delivery.
